What a thing. Some people are scared of it and some buy cars. I'm the Baddie Winkle type.
Now this may change later in life, but as it stands today, I love getting older. I'm more confident and I don't do things I really don't want to do. Super liberating.
Each year I like to check in with myself to see how things are going.
This year I died laughing because I realized I'm a power walker. This is the new me, the 28 year old version of myself and I'm owning it because self-acceptance is a very powerful thing.
All over the streets of San Francisco you'll find me power walking and listing to vulgar rap or 80s hits. I find this to be a ridiculous complement and laugh out loud when people pass by because THEY HAVE NO IDEA.
In addition to power walking, I've uncovered a few "passions". I'm hesitant to use the word "passion" because I hate it. I think it's a super important word that was lazily put together..
Anyway, I'm so passionate about food and health it makes my heart explode. I've also learned that I like creating things. I think I'm a creator.
This is all positive, but 27 certainly provided more than a few challenges like death, letting go and wandering into the unknown.
While each year I learn more about myself, it's also a reminder of the amazing people in my life. Thank you to those who believe in me and laugh at my jokes. Love you more than you know.
Cheers to 28.
