This blog is one of the best things I've ever done.
Maybe I don't have a huge following and maybe my grammar isn't the best, but people seem to enjoy my posts so that makes me feel good.
As you may or may not know, I care deeply about ending the stigma around Mental Illness. Only through sharing and humanizing Mental Illness, will perspectives shift and ignorance fade.
It's taken me years to learn how to live with Depression and Anxiety, even with therapy. Because therapy is not a viable option for many, I wanted to pass along some things that have helped me personally.
Always remember it gets better, although I know it sometimes doesn't feel like it. You are in charge of your own life and still have the ability to flourish in a world you know to be dark, unpleasant and constantly punching you in the face.
Happiness can be found, even in the darkest of times, if one only remembers to turn on the light.
YOU are are loved.
YOU are important.
